What To Expect

Majdanek State Museum
Majdanek Nazi German Concentration and Extermination Camp is located just outside of the city. In Nazi plans it was supposed to be bigger than infamous Auschwitz and become slave labour source for creating new empire on the east. Exceedingly strict conditions in prison are symbolized right at the camp's entrance by impressive monument located in a place of the former front gate. A walk among remains of camp barracks with exhibitions inside, well preserved crematory building or gas chamber and gigantic Mausoleum with ashes of Majdanek victims – all of this fills visitors with sorrow and reflection.

Lublin Old Town
During its golden ages Lublin was a very wealthy city, full with aristocracy impressive palaces, amazing sacral architecture and tenement houses. It was called “Vienna of the North”. Stroll through narrow, cobbled streets of Old Town, picturesquely located on the hill. It allows to almost breath in the history. Majestic buildings from many different ages spread around the area create an unique atmosphere. Without a doubt Lublin is the most beautiful city in east part of Poland and very much worth visiting.

Marcin is very knowledgeable and made our tour of Majdanek most informative. He is pleasant to travel with and made sure that we did not miss anything. His attention to detail is outstanding and made it possible to fully understand the horror and cruelty that was everyday life in the camp. We highly recommend Marcin.

Marcin is a phenomenal tour guide. I was extremely impressed with his vast knowledge of the Holocaust, Polish history and his understanding of the world. There were no questions he couldn't answer for me and he allowed me the necessary time to have for myself without feeling rushed. If you're planning a trip to Majdanek/Lublin or any other place that he offers tours, don't hesitate to book it. It will be worth it.

Majdanek made the conditions real to us.Retaining the idea of what a camp felt like. Lublin was a lovely stop, lots of history and memorials to its history. Marcin was a brilliant guide.
Marcin The Magnificent

Marcin is an extraordinary guide. I know a great deal about the subject matter but he blew me away. His knowledge, insight and presentation are beyond compare. He interacted with each person on the tour to make sure that our questions were being answered and our different perspectives were addressed. If you are fortunate enough to be on one of his tours you will be treated to mix of sensitivity(as the subject matter is emotional), knowledge and humility. I went to Madjanek expecting to feel what I do when I see any Holocaust museum but because of Marcin I felt like I had gotten educated historically, culturally, socially and sympathetically.
