This 4-hour walking Food Tour of Warsaw will let you taste some classics and discover the new, delicious side of Poland. We're not only a 'pierogi' and 'kielbasa' country, with our tour you'll visit traditional as well as up and coming places run by talented chefs. Our foodie guides who are bloggers, journalists or die-hard food enthusiasts will tell you stories which will help you not only understand Polish food, but Poland as a whole.

We'll first treat you to a quirky version of our classics. One stop (ex. Sunday) will be a butcher's: this is a chance to try some delicious cured meats. Moving on, the tour brings you for main courses to a modern Polish restaurant. If you crave for more tradition, we visit one of the best folk restaurants for excellent soups. We wrap up with a dessert to die for at an exquisite pastry shop and cafe. Altogether, you'll be treated to 10+ tastings, including 4 sitting-down restaurant tastings. It's not a nibble-only street food tour!

Fun delicious way to see Warsaw

We met our tour guide Ola to begin our tour. Ola is a friendly knowledgeable woman from Poland who has lived in Warsaw for 6 years. She told us we would visit 4 restaurants and would be very full when we were done.

Ola gave us plenty of interesting Polish history as we walked along. It is an easy walk with no more than 10-15 minutes between stops. At each stop we sat in a restaurant to taste the Polish food they specialize in.

Along the way we had, vegan food, cabbage soup, white sausage soup, Polish bread spread, meatballs, pierogies, melon with pumpkin, vodka, a Polish donut (paczki) and coffee. Wow we were full.

We are not vegan or vegetarian but the vegan food was amazing. It was probably the stop that we enjoyed the most. Ola asked us to guess what we were eating before she told us what it was. It was traditional Polish dishes that are made healthier but using vegan ingredients. They food was tasty and hard to believe that there was no meat in it.

If you are looking for a fun way to taste traditional Polish food, that you might not order as a full meal this is a wonderful way to try it. The history and cultural lesson along the way is a bonus! Lots of fun

Food for Thought

This tour provided an in-depth opportunity to learn about Polish cuisine while also learning about the culture of Poland and how it connects with food. Our guide, Anna, was very friendly and helpful. She shared Polish cooking is evolving to include vegan and other options. I highly recommend this tour.

Thanks to our guide Eryk for this fabulous gastronomical tour ! A guide fool of energy, who tells us with passion about War, Jews, old and New Warsaw, the complete history of this city, with pictures and comparisons...
The gastronomical part is well balanced with historical one.
Don't eat too much before the tour, because you'll eat a lot ! But typical food, in great restaurants, unknown by tourists !
We learnt a lot, and ate delicious meals !
We recommend to try, and biking isn't too difficult.
