Interaction: you, as "adepts of urban espionage", will get a “top secret map”, on which will track the group’s location to read codes with the “intelligence” on a given place

Activity: no information given on the tray; "Case officer" (guide) helps you discover what happened and what the consequences were

History and stories: at the "initial espionage training" you will learn the historical background to help you understand the stories of the events' protagonists

City code: you will learn to read a "city code" written in the architecture, urban layout, details that will help you better understand also other cities.

What To Expect

Krasinski Palace
We will see the beautiful baroque Palace and Park, as well as Square with the Field Cathedral of the Polish Army, Warsaw Rising Monument, the Supreme Court. Here we will learn the historical background of Poland as well as the history of the Katyn Massacre and the stories of Witold Pilecki i Kazimierz Leski.

Kanonia
We will see Kanonia Square with an intriguing mixture of architectual styles and influences as well as the narrowest façade in the Old Town. Here we will also learn about Ryszard Kuklinski, one of the most effective secret agents of the Cold War. He revealed plans of Soviet aggression againts the Western Europe to the Americans, which turned out to be one of the major factor that saved the world from a nuclear war.

Krakowskie Przedmiescie
We will see here the Presidential Palace, where the Warsaw Pact, that tecnically started the Cold War and the Round Table Agreements, that simbolically finished the communism took place. This is also where Fryderyk Chopin gave his first concert to a limited audience and on the way we should be able to listen to some of his music played by Chopin musical benches.

Plac Marszalka Jozefa Pilsudskiego
We will see the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier here. We will also learn about Józef Piłsudski, the chief of the Polish Army that defeated the Red Army in 1920 by Warsaw. Here also we will discover the real "code-breakers" of the Enigma.

Grob Nieznanego Zolnierza
We will see the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier (Polish: Grób Nieznanego Żołnierza), dedicated to the unknown soldiers who have given their lives for the independence of Poland, the only surviving part of the Saxon Palace. The Tomb is equipped with many plaques commemorating the most important battles in the history of Poland, both inside and ouside the country. It is constantly lit by an eternal flame and assisted by a guard post. Most official military commemorations take place here. This is also where foreign representatives lay wreaths when visiting Poland.
The changing of the guard takes place every full hour, 365 days a year.
